UUID Generator
v4 — Random
Up to 100 UUIDsUUID versions 1–8, Nil and Max
A UUID is a 128-bit identifier commonly written as 32 hexadecimal digits in five groups. This generator supports versions 1 through 8, plus the Nil and Max constants. Versions 9–15 are reserved and have no standard generation algorithm.
Versions 3 and 5 hash a namespace UUID and a UTF-8 name. The input is used exactly as entered: case, spaces and Unicode normalization can change the result. Repeating the same inputs intentionally repeats the identifier.
Version 2 is the legacy DCE Security layout. Its local ID and domain are supplied by you, rather than read from the server. It is not defined in detail by RFC 9562. Versions 1, 2 and 6 here use random multicast node IDs rather than hardware addresses.
Version 8 is a custom format, not a single universal algorithm. This tool accepts 32 hex digits or generates random data, then sets the version and variant bits. Fixed custom input produces repeated values. Version 7 includes time but does not promise global ordering across different machines.
Names and generated UUIDs are not saved. Generation also works without JavaScript.
